HOP ON! Damn Good Beer Bus Launches In Palm Beach County By Danny Wright
W
e’ll get right to the point… how’d you like to jump on a bus with your friends, sample some great craft beers and visit some of our area’s breweries? The Damn Good Beer Bus is rolling around Palm Beach County taking craft lovers on public and private tours. In fact, if you go on a public tour, your first round is included at each brewery. Not only do you get to let someone else do the driving, you’ll get a fun, informative, and laid-back experience at each stop. Public tours usually hit 3 breweries and last 3-4 hours, but if you want something different, you can arrange your own private tour. Plus, if you purchase beer at one of the stops the bus provides cold storage. Nice.

Long-time local, Jonathan Breines, dreamed this whole concept up and launched Damn Good Beer Bus this past April. His vision was “to showcase the incredible scene, brews, and people making this beer community so great.” Damn, we’re glad you did!

outh Floridians were given an extraordinary gift this month gratis of the members of Community Greening, TD Bank Funder Green Streets, Delray’s Parks and Rec Director, citizens of the community and more for the recent planting of 70 fruit trees in Delray Beach off of Atlantic Ave and Linton Blvd. Community Greening is an organization whose focus is to plant trees in order to combat the ecological effects of climate change and to promote our communities to keep our land clean and “green” for the earth, ourselves, and future inhabitants of this world. Co-founder of the organization, Mark Cassini, interviewed community members of Delray on what kind of trees they’d like to see planted. A mixture of public opinion, climate, and ecological history, the trees selected include guava, mango, papaya, avocado, and more. The fruits that these trees yield are all accessible to the public.
Be sure to check out the Brew Loop going on every Sunday in Boynton Beach, where the bus loops between all four of Boynton’s breweries all day for only $5.
One of the board members of Community Greening and local sustainable farmer and farming advocate, Farmer Jay—also known as Jason McCobb, shared with me the gripping experience of witnessing an expansive variance of people who came together and planted almost 100 trees in an hour and half.
